Renata
Loree is the owner of Yogaspot. She holds
200hrRYT through Yoga Amherst Center fo Yoga.
As child growing up in Czechoslovakia dealing with challenges of
an oppressive government and parents pushing me to excel to gain
freedom it was not easy to learn how to relax. I would find peace
and stillness in nature and pushing my body to a limit with various
sports and long distance running. I became anorexic and developed
a debilitating misalignment in my spine. Several years later finding
myself in America it became obvious to me that the pushing and abusing
of my body in a struggle to try to get somewhere was no longer an
option. Around that time about 20 years ago, yoga was becoming popular
and I immersed myself in with deep curiosity. And it seams that
I have never decide to float out of it again. It became a way of
life for me and every day brings new challenges. What is interesting
about yoga that, if you really choose the path, it will always appear
to you in a new light over and over again. It’s a beautiful
journey and adventure. I used to have to run 10 miles to find my
peace, now I can meet it lying on the mat.

years of teaching experience, Pilar is truly grateful to have been
introduced and inspired by Baron Baptiste, the power yoga practice,
as well as by her teachers. It is in fact her own life experiences

connected to her students, as her many dedicated teachers have done
so for her. Pilar has attended bootcamps in Costa Rica, Maya Tulum,
Mexico, and Montana, as well as completed Level I and II Teacher
Training with Baron Baptiste. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher and
has been teaching in and around the greater Boston area, beginning
with On The Mat Yogain Concord, Ma., The Yoga Spot in Wellesley,
and H.Y.P studios located in both Needham and Wellesley Massachusetts.
Pilar has also instructed seminars on self-esteem for middle-school
teens at The Nashoba Brooks School as well as Lawrence Academy in
Groton. She enjoys helping these young adults discover the benefits
and support yoga can offer. A mother of both a teenage daughter
and son, Pilar dedicates herself and encourages her children, like
her students, to maintain positive outlooks and healthy lifestyles.
She has recently begun teaching and helping underserved and homeless
women of domestic violence and substance abuse recovery for the

heart shines through, as she guides her students through this high

Alexandra
RYT
Alexandra turned to yoga after years of long distance running left
her injured more often than not. She soon discovered a new sense
of strength and balance that resonated well beyond the studio walls.
Yoga enriched her appreciation the good things in life and gave
her the grace to face the challenges. So when her husband Dix convinced
her to leave corporate life to pursue something she loved, yoga
seemed the natural choice. Alexandra is certified by the Yoga Alliance
and has completed programs with O2 Yoga’s Mimi Loureiro and
Shakta Kaur Khalsa of Radiant Child. She uses a blend of yoga disciplines
in her classes, creating a unique balance of sweat and spirit. Focusing
on breath, alignment and awareness, she hopes to empower her students
by giving them the tools to carve their own yogic path. Alexandra
is grateful to be part of the Yoga Spot community. She continually
gains insight from her students, fellow instructors and especially
her newborn twins, Will & Lila.
