Rest
and Relaxation Wellness Workshop
75 minute workshop Sunday, Free workshop True
love never asks anything in return. True love is boundless and always
emanating. When we point at ourselves, we point at our heart. Intuitively
we know that our heart is the seat of our soul. We gather our energy
and strength from that belief. When the heart is healthy, we feel
warm, nourished and nourishing, able to contact inner joy, inner
peace, and harmony, and able to build healthy relationships. Heart
chi is related to our vital center and spiritedness, and when it
is out of balance, there may be a propensity for acute sadness,
depression and insomnia or cold intolerance and hatred when in excess.
Healthy heart chi is related to a broad intelligence and connection
with life, an understanding of interconnectedness. It allows us
to experience the basic meaningfulness of life and to remain versatile
and purposeful as we move through many changes. When it is out of
balance, our sense of bonding is obscured by depression or hatred
for circumstances and people.
In this simple one hour workshop, two certified and experienced
yoga teachers, Renata Loree and Lauren Durso will lead you through
an extended relaxation and restorative poses as you experience hands
on assistance in the postures along the meridian lines relating
to your heart chi. You should expect to feel completely relaxed
yet energized at the end of the practice.
Healthy snacks and smoothies shared after relaxation. Appropriate
for all levels of movement ability.
Admission is free. Pre-registration is recomended. This is a free
workshop, but there is an optional donation of $10 to the local
food pantry.
